Proposal Submission and Review Process
Submission of pre-proposal (one-page in BICI’s format) is accepted at any time.
There are some target dates each year to allow timely feedback from BICI.
- After pre-proposal submission, BICI-USA will schedule a 45-minute teleconference with the PI for presenting the idea.
- One week after the teleconference, the PI will be informed by email of the decision as to whether s/he is invited to submit the full proposal.
- BICI team will perform due diligence and explore industrial collaboration opportunities, which normally takes 1~6 months.
- After the due diligence and exploration period, the proposal will be reviewed by the BICI Internal Investment Committee in its monthly meeting, usually held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. CAMSIM Director, Prof. Wing-Kam Liu, will be informed of the decision by BICI which is made on the following Monday, through an email. Prof. Liu will inform the PI of BICI’s decision.
- The final decision will be made by the BICI external Investment Committee, which meets every 3 – 4 months. CAMSIM Director, Prof. Wing-Kam Liu, will inform the PI as soon as he gets the final decision from BICI.
